I remember when the Christian Church was more progressive, in helping those in need, from a heart of compassion.
I like the Old Testament God, the one who scoffed when Israel wanted a king, yet a God who could change it's mind given a good argument, and only wanted natural alters of un-hewn stone.
Now we are in an age of the Church where the words of the son are law. Interpretations of these words over centuries of political and corporal manipulation have clouded the truths of these teachings gnostic roots.
Christ was no more the son of God than any other conscious being: Son of God as metaphore, All verbal narratives use parable and symbology. Write it down, the meaning changes.
What we have is the spirit, or the transcendent, the goal of all enlightenment. This is personal and subjective to our basic molecular evolution forward. I don't understand how a stranger with a title, in robes and crowns, making rules over others personal actions to exercise worldy power structures, can ever have any relation to anybody's personal journey of enlightenment.
This release of the Holy spirit is what will set the Christian Church free, I believe.
The secret of the Holy Trinity-
the father, son, then Holy Spirit?
